Our Team
Dr. Don Davis
President
Don Davis is a two-time Super Bowl champion, doctoral scholar, and founder of D3 Advisory Group — a leadership consultancy built for Fortune 500 executives navigating culture change, high-performance teams, and complex organizational transformation.
A University of Kansas graduate, Don played linebacker across multiple NFL teams before joining the New England Patriots coaching staff and rising to Chief Player Officer of the NFL Players Association — one of the most influential labor organizations in professional sports. Along the way, he earned an MBA and a Doctorate in Education in Leadership, Learning, Culture, and Change from The George Washington University.
What sets Don apart isn’t any single credential — it’s the combination. He has led in locker rooms, negotiated at the highest levels of professional sports, and grounded it all in rigorous academic research. That three-environment fluency — elite athletics, executive leadership, and doctoral scholarship — is what he brings to every client engagement.
Chief Investment Officer
Dave Plotkin
Dave is a Columbia University graduate, former competitive tennis player, and finance leader with more than a decade structuring billion-dollar transactions and managing large-scale private portfolios. A specialist in wealth preservation, he built his career at premier global institutions before establishing himself as a trusted authority for clients protecting and growing significant wealth.
Beginning in investment banking and financial strategy at BNP Paribas and Banco Santander, Dave structured complex corporate transactions at the highest levels of global finance where precision and discipline carried real consequences. Dave later transitioned into wealth management and investment advisory with UBS.
What distinguishes Dave is the rare convergence of these worlds. He has competed in elite athletics, executed at the upper tiers of global investment banking, and guided private clients through the long arc of wealth preservation — moving fluidly between discipline, dealmaking, and stewardship. It all rests on a core belief that strategic planning for tomorrow is the ultimate way to secure the hard work of today.
